We’ve added a new feature to our site that will make it easier for you to stay up to date with The Stillroom. It’s called an “RSS feed.” You may not have heard of this term before, but it’s a pretty simple concept that we think you’ll find useful.
Here’s the idea behind RSS feeds… Think about how your email inbox works. When someone wants to send you email, it just shows up in your inbox; you don’t need to contact your friends to see if they have any mail for you. RSS feeds extend this concept to websites that you like. You use a “feed reader” to read RSS feeds. There are many feed readers available on the web. There free and there’s nothing to install on your computer– you just access them like any other website. Google has a great feed reader called Google Reader. Just below, there’s a YouTube video that shows you how it works. Check it out, and then visit the Google Reader site and give it a try!
