Scattin’ and be-boppin’

That’s what’s up inside of Diamond Antiques & Gifts

The Stillroom Tea Shop scatted to the back of Diamond Antiques & Gifts. I just love this little spot in the back on the first floor. There is a developing little pantry area located straight to the back-right corner of the building. In this warm and charming little space comes a lovely selection of Harney & Sons loose teas and tea accessories. You have to walk into this inviting corner to browse the tea selection. Go right and turn left on your heal. Don’t take another step! It’s right there, eye level!

The Wedding Tea and Vanilla Tea tag-along tins are also to be found in this space. These are the silk tea sachet bags.

You will still find the mini jars of Bonne Maman strawberry preserves and orange marmalade and honey sticks and sugar sticks and scone mixes to go along with your tea. We still have the fancy, schmancy floral Flavigny candy tins too!

There will be an occasional pretty and vintage tea pot to help set the scene and make things visually pleasing.

The crate of tea samplers will be on the shelf too. This little crate houses sample packets of a few different teas that you may want to try. That way, there is no commitment to 20 bags in case you don’t care for it.

So, that was the scattin’

Here is the beboppin’

I bebopped straight ahead when you walk through the front door of Diamond Antiques & Gifts. That cabinet that says shop local is where you will find Harney & Sons tea sachets by the box, tin or five paks! This tea is now in the space that houses the locally harvested honey. What could be more perfect?

I am sure it has been noticed that I have been scaling back on my Stash tea selection. The cost of shipping from Oregon (about 3,000 miles) has become astronomical in addition to the price of tea over twenty years. I’m not completely losing the Stash, but the selection isn’t nearly what is used to be. I know, insert frowny face here. 😦

The Stillroom will continue to sell Harney & Sons fine tea. Harney is a smaller family-owned and operated tea business here in the northeast. You can google them and read about their family history and how they got involved in the tea business.

They have a tea selection that will just knock your socks right off. I kid you not. Worth every penny.

The Stillroom is strictly a tea retailer. The shop does not do tea parties. I leave that to the professionals.

The shop will continue to sell the cat toys. In some kitty households, this is more important than the tea!

If you are looking for exotic or hard to find tea in your local grocery and can’t find it, I suggest looking up The Blue Monkey in Squirrel Hill or Tupelo Honey Tea in Millville!

These places sell extensive selections of loose teas from a variety of suppliers.

Stay warm and drink your tea!

New year, new situation! Tea, honey, scone mixes, sugar sticks, brewing accessories and Flavigny Pearls with the anise seed center to freshen the breath.

The Harney and Sons silk tea sachets are straight ahead when you walk through the front door and the Harney & Sons loose tea and brew accessories are in the back of the store.

Go straight to the back right corner and look on the wall to the left. They aren’t readily visible but they are there!

Thanks to the boss lady for her generous offer to keep the tea flowing through Diamond Antiques & Gifts!

Setting up the same great selection of Harney & Sons tea in a smaller but more efficient space. No more antiques and cool gifts 🙁

This is just one little tea space at the back of Diamond Antiques & Gifts. The other tea cupboard still has to be organized a little more but the tea is in there. I still have to tweak it to make it more perty 😉

The handmade organic catnip pillows reign supreme but are sold out at the moment.

I will be back at it as soon as I come out of my January slump.

Hang in there kitties!

The Stillroom is moving a few feet over and making way for a new vendor in the window!

I’m shrinking the shop after about twenty years. You can still find fabulous teas and accessories inside of Diamond Antiques and Gifts.

Oh, and the organic catnip toys and lavender for tea are still going to be available.

In the meantime, there might still be a few display items left for sale.

The new tea cupboard will be filled up by January’s end!

Walk through the front door of Diamond Antiques and Gifts and go forward. You can’t miss the tea selections!

The bread mixes by Rabbit Creek will be donated to #Knead Cafe as soon as I can box them up!

The Stillroom Gift & Tea shop is changing!

The shop will still be the place to stop for all of your tea and tea accessories. During the month of January, I will be downsizing the dry goods that have been available for the past 20 years at The Stillroom inside of Diamond Antiques and Gifts in Tarentum and will no longer be in the window.

That new space deservedly will become a great spot for a new look as Sandy takes over with her choice antiques and collectibles in the coming weeks as I seek out a new situation by the staircase near the check out area of Diamond Antiques!

This is very exciting as we skat and bebop and move about and plan for another successful new year!

Happy New Year and drink your tea!
