Daniel Johnston has suffered from life- long mental illness. This song titled, A Little Story was used in a commercial last year for Apple. Most people are not familiar with him. We 💕 him. Check out his life story on wikipedia. Interesting read. A documentary was released in 2005 at Sundance Film Festival called The Devil and Daniel Johnston and follows his music career from when he worked at McDonald’s handing out his cassettes to how he managed to get himself on MTV in the shows infancy. It follows him as it reveals his struggle with severe bi- polar disorder. If you are from the beginning of the MTV generation, you will appreciate this documentary. Happy Birthday to him.
