So I was probably the only person in the area that was threatened by the sun. Lol
Why? Because The Stillroom is in full sun! Now that the earth is spinning us toward spring, I am finding the shop slowly coming into full sunlight. I am not really complaining. I find solutions!
So, for a quick and visually pretty fix to diffuse the sun from the window space that I occupy, a friend suggested lacy, vinyl looking panels from the store. Great idea! It was perfect for shading the space a little. The lace pattern made for very easy measuring and cutting. I’m pretty happy with the results. Especially now that it looks like we are having a few days of perfect sun coming up.
I am now on the hunt for vintage lace curtains to replace the vinyl because they will be more fitting for the space. This was a quick way to add dappled sunlight. Who doesn’t enjoy dappled sun?
They hang low enough to soften the light but you can still peek inside from the sidewalk.
There are lovely things to see on the window wall and that little bit of window cover is easier on the eyes. Now the tea, dried florals, hats, gloves, jewelry and biscotti, sunny seeds (ironic) and the chocolate goodies and sweets can live in harmony with these sunny, beautiful days coming up!
Speaking of biscotti, the Cherry biscotti from our local biscotti bakery in Greensburg are in stock and they are deliciously cherry! I can not tell a lie, I ordered a lot of the cherry biscotti because I just know these are going to sell fast. These are my new favorite flave. Bright and cherrful and flecked with cherry slices, they are actually pretty to look at! I also restocked the fabulous lemon coconut too. A perfect way to take a lovely break. Hot tea and a sweet side.
